National/SAS Events
These are normally National competitions or competitions out with the
District where Stonehaven swimmers compete as part of a larger SAS team.
On these occasions swimmers will be handed a SAS entry form detailing the
swims for which they are eligible at the Meet. These will normally all be
competitions requiring current accredited times. There will be an amount
due and a closing date on the entry forms and these must be returned to
Anne along with the money due before the closing date so that they can be
passed on to the SAS Team manager who will complete the entry for the
whole team. When the SAS Team manager receives the acceptances back from
the Meet she will notify swimmers of any reserve or rejected swims only,
so no notification will mean that all your entries have been accepted.
Swimmers attending competitions as part of SAS will be asked to complete
SAS consent forms and will be issued with the SAS competition guidelines.
Once acceptances are received and numbers for the Meet are known, the SAS
Team Manager will send out a bill for travel, food and accommodation. It
is expected that swimmers travel and stay with the Team as this makes for
a much more positive experience.
