SAS Junior League

These are aimed at swimmers aged from 8 - 12 years and normally in Squads B & C. Swimmers will be given a slip home inviting them to take part in the League and they should return this to the coach as soon as possible confirming if they are available. If one or both parents is a qualified timekeeper there will be a request on the slip that they also confirm their availability as each SAS club must provide four timekeepers and two judges in order that the League matches can be accredited.

League matches take place at Westhill swimming pool from 6.30 - 9pm on Saturday evenings and once a swimmer has confirmed their availability they should ensure that they arrive at Westhill pool no later than 6.20pm in order to be ready for the start of the warm-up. Any swimmer failing to turn up may result in the withdrawal of a relay team as well as lost points for the Club.

Swimmers should bring their usual kit of costume, Club cap, goggles and water bottle and also a Club t-shirt to wear between races and an extra towel to ensure that they are always warm and dry. SAS League matches are a team event and a loud voice for cheering on your team mates is a big asset - again although winning is a bonus PBs and good technical performance is what your coach is looking for.
